Gisèle (Dürer-Koseoglu), a native of Cannes, is one of the main representatives of the Francophone literature in Turkey.

French, she lives in Istanbul since 1983 where she worked as a professor of Literature. The city of Istanbul and Turkish history are her main topics of inspiration. Her books are published simultaneously in two languages, French and Turkish.
